Secondome gallery inaugurates “Niente di Personale”, Giovanni Casellato personal exhibition.
Artist-Designer, born in 1968, Architetcture major in IUAV, Venice, has been working on design and sculpture for several years, using iron as privileged material for his works. Suggested by Banca Aletti as sculptor to invest on. Giovanni researches in every piece the charm of the “unique”, working painstakingly on lines and finitures to enhance the object’s natural aspect, using several obsidation and grinding processes or associating iron with other materials.
Whitin SECONDOME spaces Casellato presents a selection of the most significant projects and sculptures developed during the last few years and an inedit work commissioned by Claudia Pigntale, founder and artistic director of the gallery, and realized site specific: Il Baule.
Il Baule (The Chest) is an ancient object, almost outdated, which recalls the migrations and the long travel by ship in the first years of 1900. Reproposed in steel with a double function of container and bench. Measures: 90x45x50cm.
