Massimiliano Adami

Massimiliano Adami studied design at the Istituto Statale d’Arte at Monza and at the School of Design at Milan’s Politecnico. Since his debut in 1989 with the exhibition Il fantasma del design (The Phantom of Design), he has participated in various competitions and exhibitions, including notably his successful participation at the 2005 Salone Satellite.
His works works are on display at major design galleries in Italy and abroad. His pieces are shown in important design galleries, among the others Moss in New York, Philip De Pury in London, Rossana Orlandi in Milan and Ottobarradieci in Bergamo.
He has made projects for Cappellini, Meritalia, Molteni Imbottiti, Refin Ceramiche, Zerodisegno and special projects for Alcantara, Fendi Group/Design Miami and Poltrona Frau.
The experiments with materials and production styles having a deep craft aspects bring his works between art and design, putting together and exchanging the project activity with self-production. He designs and works with important firms of the Italian design. His “Fossili Moderni” (Modern Fossils) have been inserted into the Triennale Design Museum of Milan permanent collection.
